‘The Gardenhouse takes the main structure of a house and divides it into a smaller-sized grid. This grid can be used to plant a vertical garden and works as a louver system for the interior spaces.’
The project was designed for a wood artist and focuses mainly on a structural timber – system which gives the residents the freedom to seed flowers, herbs or vegetables on it. After a while plants will grow on the facade and the natural system will cover the structure.
The main functional program of a house is arranged in 4 main cubes which spiral from the basement up and cover all the needs for the client.
Being constantly surrounded by nature will give the house an atmosphere of living in a tree. The house also offers several balconies in-between the structural grid and a large terrace on a green roof.
